One of the country’s finest modern jazz sax players, Dave O’Higgins, makes a welcome return to Herts Jazz Club on November 9.

Dave’s powerful, driving style has been a feature of the scene since the early 80s, winning him a multiple awards including two British Jazz Awards.

He is a popular and well-known figure on the international jazz scene, having recorded 13 albums as leader with various lineups. He cut his teeth with NYJO, Cleo Laine, Roadside Picnic and Mezzoforte and went on to work with Jim Mullen, Ray Charles, Martin Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Jamie Cullum, Stan Tracey, Ronnie Scott’s Allstars and the BBC Big Band to name only a few.

He will be joined by Tom Cawley on piano, Geoff Gascoyne on bass and Sebastiaan de Krom on drums.
