AFTER a successful run with the play Eleemosynary, the Park Street Players are going "on tour". For they are to give two performances at St Bartholomew's Parish Hall in Vesta Avenue, St Albans, in aid of two charities. The play - its title means charitable - examines the relationship between three women - daughter, mother and grandmother. It was written by Lee Blessing who won a Tony award for A Walk in the Woods. The play will be staged at the parish hall on Saturday, February 18, and again a week later and proceeds will go to Christian Relief Uganda which was formed 10 years ago and supports an orphanage at Kamuli, a small town in Uganda, and the Herts Children's Pilgrimage Trust which takes groups of youngsters to Lourdes each Easter. Tickets, which include cheese and wine, are £8 available from Chris Brown on 01727 768977 or by e-mailing him at Christopher.brown11@ntlworld.com
