Multi-award winning British vocal group, Sons of Pitches, get a busy week underway at the Alban Arena.
Crowned winners of the BBC2 series, The Naked Choir, in 2015, the ‘Sons’ as they are nicknamed, combine solos, harmonies and beatboxing and have a growing international reputation with nearly two million YouTube hits.
They are appearing at the Arena at 7.30pm next Monday, November 14, and tickets at £26.50 and £22.50 are available from the Arena box office on 01727 844488 or online.
That’ll Be The Day Christmas Show comes to the Arena at 7.30pm next Tuesday, November 15, celebrating the season with festive classics from the fifties to the seventies and plenty of comedy.
Tickets are £25 and £23.
Raconteur Gervase Phinn has been touring theatres across the country for over a decade and is stopping off at the Arena at 7.30pm next Wednesday, November 16.
Dubbed the James Herriot of Schools, he shares his tales of life as a schools inspector in the Yorkshire Dales, displaying his keen ear for the absurd and sharp eye for the ludicrous.

Rhythm and Blues nostalgia can be found at the Arena at 7.30pm next Thursday, November 17, when sixties luminaries The Manfreds, PP Arnold and Zoot Money pay a visit with Maximum R&B.
The Manfred’s feature original members Paul Jones, Mike D’Abo, Tom McGuinness and Mike Hugg who, with Rob Townsend, Marcus Cliffe and Simon Currie, will be recreating many of the band’s greatest hits and as successful individual artists.
Joining them will be UK soul pioneer PP Arnold, who was an original Ikette with the Ike and Tina Turner Experience before being noticed by Mick Jagger and catapulted to stardom.
Completing the line-up is Zoot Money, founder of The Big Roll Band and one of the fixtures of The Flamingo Club in Wardour Street, epicentre of the birth of 60s RnB.
Tickets are £28.50 and £26.50.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra under Ray McVay returns to the Arena next Sunday, November 20, with the harmonies of the Moonlight Serendaders and the vocals of Catherine Sykes and Mark Porter.
The show, which starts at 3pm, plays the music that got people through the war and laid the foundations of pop.
Tickets are £24 and £22.
