TALENTED young pianist and composer Alissa Firsova will be bringing two concertos for lunch at a city centre church next Wednesday, June 12.
She has performed at the Proms and in August 2010 her transcription of the final movement of Bach’s Viola da Gamba Sonata in G minor was performed there by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
At St Peter’s Church, St Albans, from 1pm, she will be playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 12, K414, and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 2 in F Minor accompanied by The Royal Academy of Music String Quintet.
The concert is free and the retiring collection will be donated to Grove House.
