Philomena, the movie based on the experiences of St Albans woman Philomena Lee, is the next film being shown by Harpenden Film Society.
It can be seen at 8pm next Thursday, May 8, at Harpenden Public Halls.
Philomena is a true story about an Irish woman forced to give up the son she conceived out of wedlock. Years later she meets an English journalist who helps her to try and find her long-lost son.
The film stars Oscar-nominated Judi Dench and Steve Coogan.
Tickets are £5 for non members, £3.50 for members, available from www.harpendenfilmsociety.co.uk, WHSmith in Harpenden and from Harpenden Public Halls in advance or on the door.
