Soulful singer-songwriter Paul Young will be performing live in St Albans next week.
The Wherever I Lay My Hat star comes to The Alban Arena on Wednesday, February 28 at 7.30pm.
Former Q-Tips frontman Paul shot to fame with his accomplished 1983 solo debut album No Parlez.
The record included the number one single Wherever I Lay My Hat (That’s My Home) and top 10 follow-up hits Come Back And Stay and Love of the Common People.
It also featured Paul’s cover version of Joy Division classic Love Will Tear Us Apart.
With the release of his second chart-topping album, The Secret Of Association, and the success of single Every Time You Go Away, his status as a world star was confirmed.
There followed a period of time out to be with his growing family, followed by a spell in America where he recorded in Los Angeles and New York material for his fourth album, Other Voices.
In 1991, Paul recorded a duet with his friend Zucchero on the soon-to-be worldwide smash Sensa Una Donna, which along with Don’t Dream It’s Over, was featured on his best of album, From Time To Time – The Singles Collection.
Although now regularly seen playing live with his Tex-Mex side venture band Los Pacaminos, 2016 saw Paul Young release new solo album Good Thing, his first soul album in 20 years.
Tickets for his St Albans concert cost £25.
