THE CAST of the Company of Ten's Christmas show Treasure Island were in something of a flap when Captain Flint the parrot decided to take shore leave and head for the trees.
The rascally parrot, which has a significant part in the show which runs at the Abbey Theatre from December 16 until January 2, was eventually enticed back to work with some huge black grapes.
But there is no knowing where such an unruly bird might end up because he is always looking for mischief.
Treasure Island features adventure on the high seas, hidden pirate treasure and last-minute rescue runs.
Seats are between 5 and 9 with concessions available and are on sale now at www.abbeytheatre.org.uk or from the box office on 01727 857861.
