Westminster Abbey Organ Scholar Peter Holder will be giving the lunchtime recital at St Peter’s Church, St Albans, next Wednesday, March 19.
Peter, who held a similar position at St Albans Cathedral, has recorded for BBC Radio 3 on several occasions. Having achieved a first class degree at the Royal Academy of Music, he has recently been awarded the HRH Princess Alice the Duchess of Gloucester’s Prize for exemplary studentship.
His recital will include items by Diederich Buxtehude, William Byrd, Felix Mendelssohn, Edward Elgar’s Chanson de Matin arranged by Herbert Brewer, and Charles Ives’ Variations in America.
The free concert starts at 1pm with a retiring collection in aid of Grove House.
