STAFF at a Harpenden secondary school had a chance to show off their talents when they took to the stage as solo acts and groups to perform a range of songs at the end of term.
Pupils, parents and their colleagues at Sir John Lawes watched the annual Staff in their Eyes event which was matched by a Pupils in their Eyes concert with the proceeds going to Keech Cottage.
Among the tracks performed by both staff and students were Forget You by Cee Lo Green, Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, Take That’s Relight My Fire and Super Trouper by ABBA.
The humanities department took the prize for Staff in their Eyes while Amelia Gabaldoni in Year Nine who sang Forget You took the Pupils in their Eyes prize.
Amelia said: “I was really happy to have won this year as the standard of talent was really high and it was a great opportunity to perform, if a little nerve-wracking.”
