Following his hugely successful tour last year, Canadian funnyman Tom Stade is back at the Alban Arena on Tuesday (14) with his new show Decisions Decisions.

Since arriving in the UK, Tom Stade has steadily earned a reputation as one of the most original and exciting stand-up talents around.

He instantly made a splash on the UK circuit with his magnetic stage presence, irrepressible charm and first-class story-telling, and after years topping the bill and playing at international comedy festivals around the globe, he is now established as a leading touring act in his own right, and finds himself well on the road to being a household name.

The free-thinking philosopher returns to ponder timeless questions and reflect upon life’s choices and decisions.

Tickets cost £15.

Based on the international best-selling novel by Francois LeLord, Hector and The Search For Happiness (15) is being screened at the Arena on October 15 at 1.30pm and 7.30pm and October 16 at 7.30pm.

Starring Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike, it tells the story of Hector (Pegg), a psychiatrist from London. He enjoys his job, loves his girlfriend, Clara (Pike), and has a steady routine. He suddenly realises that he can’t fully help any of his patients, as he, himself, has not yet discovered the true path to happiness; he hasn’t really tasted life, and yet he’s offering advice to patients who are just not getting any happier. In a bid to discover the answers, Hector embarks on the journey of a lifetime, travelling the globe in the hopes of finding the secret formula for true happiness.

Actor and comedian Omid Djalili is appearing at the Arena with his new show, Iranalamadingdong, on October 17 and 18 at 8pm.

Omid Djalili is back on tour following a sell-out four-week West End residency and a sold-out season at the Edinburgh Festival.

Ticket availability is limited, so book soon to avoid disappointment - £23.

John Mayall is regarded as one of the blues’ most influential artists, and you can see the man himself on October 19 at 7.30pm.

John, whose pioneering band, The Bluesbreakers, launched the careers of Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Peter Green and Mick Taylor, celebrates his 80th birthday with a new tour, featuring special guests King King, who won the Best British Blues Award in 2012 and 2013.

Tickets are £30.50 seated, and £29.50 standing.
