With the summer drawing to an end, attention will be turning to local pantomimes – oh yes it will.

This December’s panto at Harpenden Public Halls is Snow White, starring Steve Leeds from Go!Go!Go! the musical group who appear daily on Nick Jr and have recently toured the UK with their live show.

Steve sings, dances, plays the guitar and acts. Producer Chris Law, of Act One Pantomimes which is putting on the show from Friday, Decembser 12, until Monday, December 22, said: “We are over the moon to have Steve with us in Snow White. He will make a fantastic Prince and is going to be extremely popular, not only with the kids but also their older sisters and their mums.”

Among the supporting cast is St Albans actress and singer Jill Priest, who has appeared on local stages many times, as the Wicked Queen and another local singer, Sophie Massie, as Snow White.

Tony Howes, the original Adrian Mole in the West End, takes the role as Dotty the Cook. He has appeared in countless TV shows including Midsommer Murders, Emmerdale and Doctors.

BBC Radio’s Ernie Almond will play Horace the henchman and Chris Law returns to play Muddles.

They are joined by dancers from The Dance Studio in St Albans and Harpenden.

Ticket prices start from £10, with group discounts available.
