SHAFTS of sunlight streaming through the trees onto the river at Batford Spring nature reserve has won a photographic society award for newcomer Rose Jones.
The photograph, entitled Rays of Beauty, received the most votes at the recent Harpenden Photographic Society annual exhibition attended by over 300 visitors.
Rose is a new member of Harpenden Photographic Society, having joined in September last year after completing a photographic course at Oaklands College.
It was her first entry into the annual exhibition and she described herself as, “stunned and delighted to have won”.
