A CONCERT dedicated to a well-known St Albans musician who died suddenly last year is being held in London Colney next weekend.

Quorum, conducted by Ewart Hopkins, will be performing Music for Holy Week by Handel in memory of their former conductor and member Philip Robinson at the All Saints Pastoral Centre on Sunday, March 16.

Philip was an outstanding pianist of both jazz and classical music as well as a singer and conductor with a great knowledge of all forms of music. For many years he was the chief music librarian for Herts.

The concert, which starts at 3pm, will feature Handel's Messiah and 9th Chandos Anthem.

There is no admission charge but there will be a collection in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
