One of the most in-demand stand-up comedians, Seann Walsh, is stopping off at the Radlett Centre tomorrow (Friday) as part of a major nationwide tour.

As well as appearing on TV, his live show finds the Foster’s Comedy Award nominee pacing the stage, working the room and reducing the audience to laughter - even though he would probably rather be at home watching Sky Sports News.

The brand-new show, One For the Road, demonstrates the way in which Seann gets comic mileage out of moaning - the evening gets underway with him asking the audience to write down what really annoys them. It starts at 7.30pm.

The MGM Story, which can be seen on Saturday, October 22, traces the golden age of song and dance and tells the tale of how the studio fostered the talents of such stars, as Judy Garland and Gene Kelly and composers including Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and many more.

The brand-new musical revue, which starts at 7.30pm, features songs from Singin’ in the Rain, An American in Paris, The Wizard of Oz and many more.

Poet and entertainer Pam Ayres brings 40 years of experience to the Radlett Centre stage at 5pm next Sunday, October 23.

Known for her hair-trigger timing and eye for the detail of everyday life and its absurdities, she is a regular on TV and radio, including having her own show Ayres On The Air on BBC Radio Four.

Half term finds The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, based on Aesop’s classic fable, coming to the Radlett Centre at 2pm next Tuesday, October 25.

It invites children from three to eight to join two friends as they embark on a journey and discover that while new and different can be good, friendship is the msot important thing.

With Halloween looming, the theatre hosts The Haunting of Exham Priory at 7.30pm next Thursday, October 27.

It centres on Mr Delapore who retires to England to restore his ancestral home, Exham Priory, which has lain ruined for over 300 years. But tragedy overtook the ancient de la Poer family in a single night there and with his young friend, Captain Norrys, he sets out to discover why the locals hate and fear the Priory so much.

Popular fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, geared at children aged five and upwards, can be seen at 11am and 2pm next Friday, October 28.

Youngsters are urged to learn the chorus songs via the website and join in during the show with up to 10 children taking part on stage.

Stand-up Mark Steel, a regular on Have I Got News For You and Radio 4’s Newsquiz, looks at the questions of birth and adoption among other topics when he appears at the Radlett Centre at 7.30pm next Friday, October 28.

The presenter of the BAFTA-nominated Mark Steel Lectures for BBC2, he has also appeared on QI and Room 101 and has written several acclaimed books.

The following night, Saturday, October 29, Back to Bacharach celebrates the music of Burt Bacharach, one of the most popular composers of the 20th century who, together with Hal David, penned some memorable and iconic hits.

The vocalists have performed all over the world, most recently on the Strictly Come Dancing arena tour, Jesus Christ Superstar ,The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon, West Side Story and Whistle Down the Wind.

The show begins at 7.30pm.
