The Martin Speake Trio play Herts Jazz Club this Sunday, June 1.
The unusual trio of alto saxophone, guitar and drums brings together all Martin’s musical influences alongside his favourite musical partners. The three musicians are committed to improvising in the moment and will feature compositions from their latest double CD, Always A First Time.
Martin is one of the most respected alto saxophonists now playing jazz on any continent. He is joined by US drummer Jeff Williams and guitarist Mike Outram.
The evening at the Hawthorne Theatre, Welwyn Garden City, gets underway at 7.30pm and tickets in advance from www.hertsjazz.co.uk/currentseason.html are £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full.
