MADE in Dagenham is the next movie to be shown by Harpenden Film Society next Tuesday, July 5.

Set in 1968, it is the story of Rita who works at the Ford plant in Dagenham and discovers that the men are being paid more than the women in the factory. What transpires changes the recognition of women in the workplace forever.

The film, which can be seen at 8pm at Harpenden Public Halls, stars Sally Hawkins and Bob Hoskins with Miranda Richardson taking the cameo role of Barbara Castle.
