London-based professional group, the Alexandra Trio return to a city centre church for the lunchtime concert next Wednesday, September 24.
Once again they are led by Mark Lacey, clarinet, but he will be bringing a trio with him, featuring Julia Burkert (violin), Clare Constable (cello) and
Jeremy Cooke (piano).
Their programme at St Peter’s Church, St Albans, will feature Frank Bridge’s Three Minatures for violin, piano and cello, Hartmann’s Romance for clarinet and piano, Shostakovitch’s 5 pieces for, violin, clarinet and piano and Walter Rabl’s Quartet for piano, violin, clarinet and cello (opus 1).
The concert starts at 1pm with a retiring collection in aid of Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
