A TALENTED youngster is set to battle it out with 20 other hopefuls for the chance to take the part of Nancy in Oliver at the O2 Arena in January.

Lucy Tinker, 13, from Harpenden Road, was selected from over 500 young performers throughout the country to attend a boot camp on Saturday set up by West End Kids, the company which is performing Oliver as part of the Voice In A Million concert is support of the British Association of Adoption and Fostering.

At boot camp the number will be reduced to just 12 young performers who will go forward to the finals at Shepperton Studios on January 2.

Oliver is being performed on January 28.
