MUSICAL theatre comes to the St Albans School amphitheatre next week when drama school Theatrix reprises Little Shop of Horrors for three evenings.
Originally performed at the Abbey Theatre in March, the contemporary comic cult musical can be seen at 8pm from next Thursday, July 22, to Saturday, July 24, at the ampitheatre in the grounds of the Abbey Gateway school.
Set on Skid Row, it features a colourful cast of characters – a naive nerd, a forlorn florist, a ditzy dame and a dangerous dentist – not to mention a rather unique plant. But the plant, named after the nerd Seymour’s passion for shop assistant Audrey, grows and grows in proportion to Seymour’s infatuation.
Tickets for the show are 9 with concessions 7.50 and parties of 10 or more 7 available by calling 01727 860217, emailing admin@theatrix.co.uk or go to www.theatrix.co.uk
