One of the finest jazz trumpet players to come from these shores is headlining at Herts Jazz Club this weekend.
Steve Fishwick is rapidly gaining a global reputation thanks to his flawless technique and his beautifully flowing, harmonically rich improvisations.
He is considered one of an increasing number of trumpeters who have been heavily influenced by the melodic approach of the late great Kenny Dorham, and his current CD In The Empire State is receiving huge acclaim. You can see him with the Steve Fishwick Quartet from 7.30pm at the Hawthorne Theatre in Welwyn Garden City.
Tickets are £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full in advance, or £5 students/£9 members/£12 concessions/£13 full on the door. Book online here.
