PIANIST/composer Kit Downes will be appearing at the Herts Jazz Club on Sunday evening.
Kit exploded onto the British jazz scene while playing with the band Empirical and then with Troyka, Stan Suzmann, Fraud and Acoustic Ladyland.
In 2008 he went on to win the BBC Jazz Award for Rising Star in 2008, a Yamaha Scholarship in 2009 and a British Jazz Award in 2010.
Playing with Kit at the club which meets at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, will be Calum Gourlay on bass and Clark Tracey on drums.
The evening gets underway at 7.45pm and admission is �10 online at www.welhat.gov.uk/cw, �12 on the door and �5 for students and under 21s.
