King’s Speech for Harpenden Film Society

BLOCKBUSTER movie The King’s Speech is being shown by Harpenden Film Society in the Public Halls at 8pm on Tuesday, May 17.

The story of how King George VI becomes King unexpectedly on the abdication of his brother and finds himself having to inspire his country while suffering from a severe stutter has won a plethora of awards including the Oscar for best film.

It stars Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush.

Tickets are �4.50 for non-members, available from the website www.harpendenfilmsociety.co.uk or in person from the Public Halls or WH Smith.
