Young St Albans pianist Julian Trevelyan bowled over the jury and audience at the second Concours-Festival for modern piano repertoire held in Paris last week.
The jury was unanimous in awarding him the Grand Prix as well as the Prix d’Honneur for an interpretation of a work by Ravel.
The audience was equally enthusiastic with one member describing the performance by 16-year-old Julian as “simply stunning”.
