A town church is hosting its annual carol services at Harpenden Public Halls this Sunday. (6).
ChristChurch is holding two free services, one at 4pm for families with children and featuring puppets telling the nativity story, and a second Carols by Candlelight at 7pm which will feature music from a choir and orchestra as well as carols to sing.
Town Mayor, Cllr Brian Ellis, will be at the evening service and after both, festive refreshments will be available.
The Rev Gareth Lewis, Senior Minister of ChristChurch, said: “Joining together to sing carols and hear the Christmas message is a wonderful way for people of all ages in Harpenden to join together to celebrate the birth of Christ. It really is a chance for us as a town to come together and to sing the carols that traditionally make it really feel like it is nearly Christmas.”
