LOCAL musicians are invited to take part in the second St Albans Jazz Ensemble (STAJE) concert when it is held in the city later this month.
Students do not have to be studying music at college or university but need to be enthusiastic, committed instrumentalists or vocalists to take part in the concert at 8pm on Thursday, April 28, at the Abbey Theatre.
The concert, which comes at the conclusion of an Easter course for musicians, will draw on the repertoire of mainly jazz, soul, jazz-funk and fusion music.
It will be performed by a collection of professional, semi-professional and student musicians, committed to coming together to perform to a very high standard.
Young aspiring vocalists will be added to the mix and tickets are 5, available from the Abbey Theatre box office on 01727 857861.
Musicians interested in being part of the STAJE experience should contact musical directors Andy Baddaley or Bob Power via the email address stajeband@gmail.com
