TOM Hingley, the frontman of Inspiral Carpets, is playing at The Horn in St Albans next Saturday, July 24.
The Inspiral Carpets played their psychedelic punk pop in the mid eighties way before anyone was putting the Mad into Manchester and are regarded as a great English singles band up there with Madness, the Kinks and the Buzzcocks.
In the late eighties and early nineties, The Inspiral Carpets hit the charts far more consistently than their fellow “Madchester” travellers The Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses.
Tom Hingley will be performing all their classic songs when he appears at The Horn in Victoria Street. Admission is �7 on the door and �6 in advance.
