A NEW film about climate change, peak oil and community response is being shown in St Albans next Tuesday evening, October 13.
In Transition sees communities creating their own currencies, setting up their own pubs, planting trees and growing food.
Local councils are shown getting behind their local Transition initiatives which gives a sense of the scale of an emerging movement which aims to empower communities to start grassroots initiatives in their local areas.
The film is being shown at the Maltings Arts Theatre at 7.30pm and among those who will be going along to watch it will be Sandy Walkington and Simon Grover, the respective Lib-Dem and Green Party prospective parliamentary candidates for St Albans.
