A CONCERT in aid of Home-Start St Albans is being given by Hertfordshire Chamber Orchestra (HCO) next Saturday, April 16.
Conducted by Robin Newton, the programme for the concert at St Albans Girls School in Sandridgebury Lane, will feature Mozart’s Overture and Ballet Music from Idomeneo, Adams’ Shaker Loops and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, featuring the Del Mar Trio.
Janie Andrews, who plays oboe for the orchestra and is herself a Home-Start volunteer, said: “HCO is delighted to be performing in aid of Home-Start St Albans. As a volunteer for them myself, I know what a really worthy cause it is.”
Home-Start is a charity that trains local volunteers to provide support and friendship to families with young children by visiting and supporting them in their own homes.
