TALENTED dancer Hannah Griffiths is appearing in her fourth English Youth Ballet (EYB) production this weekend with a role in The Nutcracker.

Hannah, 16, of Coldharbour Lane, Harpenden, who is studying for her A-levels at St George’s School, will be appearing in the ballet at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury on Saturday and Sunday.

She is a veteran of EYB productions having appeared in Sleeping Beauty at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage in 2006, The Nutcracker at The Grove Theatre in Dunstable in 2007 and Giselle, again at the Gordon Craig Theatre, in 2008.

Hannah’s dancing career began early – she has been tutored at The Dance Studio since she was three. After achieving distinctions in her last three dance exams – Grade Six Modern, Grade Six Tap and Gold Jazz, she is currently studying Advanced One Ballet at Tring Park and The Wheathampstead Dance Academy.

EYB tours the country putting on full scale productions of traditional ballets using up to 100 local children between eight and 18 years chosen from audition.
