BAD Vibrations is what local band Active on Earth hope they don't get when they play The Horn in St Albans next Wednesday, February 17.
The Harpenden band comprising Helen Lord, vocals, Dave Pankhurst, drums and electronic percussion, Laurence Piper, keyboard, and Andrew Trussler, keyboards, samples and vocals, are promoting their EP Bad Vibrations.
Recorded at home and released on the band's own "self-adhesive" label, the four-track CD has already been played on Resonance FM.
The centrepiece of both the CD and the band's live set is Spare The Words, a ghostly collaboration with the Velvet Underground's Nico over 21 years after her death.
