ARTS and crafts clubs and societies are being invited to show off their skills at the Festival of Living Crafts to be held at Hatfield House in May.
The 2008 festival from May 8 to 11 is hosting a brand-new feature entitled Art in Herts with the aim of encouraging visitors to become actively involved in arts and crafts and see what is offer on their doorstep.
The Arts in Herts feature will take place in a special pavilion in a prominent position at the festival, with the internal space divided up to suit the needs of each group and their activities.
The organisers are offering the opportunity of a free place at the show in return for a display of work which is informative and interesting for visitors.
That could be taster sessions, mini-workshops, informative talks or any other practical demonstration of an activity.
The Festival of Living Arts is in its 34th year and is the second largest event in Herts.
