Aladdin is more usually seen on the stage at Christmas but local stage school Top Hat opted to perform the show as its summer production.

It was performed at the SandPit Theatre in St Albans with over 60 students aged from four to 17 years taking part.

The show was the culmination of Top Hat’s summer courses and students had just a week to prepare for the performance.

Principal Warren Bacci said: “It’s amazing to see how the students can put on a whole show in just one week. They learn the lines, the songs and dance routines in this time and the kids did fantastic.”

Top Hat’s next production is Oliver this December and they are looking for new talented children to take part. For further information about the show and Top Hat’s regular Saturday stage school visit www.tophatstageschool.co.uk or call 01727 812666.
