HARD-hitting crowd-pleasing one-liners are the trademark of Gary Delaney who headlines Funny First Mondays at the Waterend Barn in St Albans next week.
The jokes are expected to come thick and fast at the comedy club on Monday night where Gary brings his tightly-written original material which has earned him huge respect from fellow comics and audiences alike.
Opening the evening will be eccentric North American comic Wes Zaharuk whose act is one of the most requested events at colleges, clubs and companies all over his home country.
He is a keen user of unlikely props which he attributes to, "not being allowed as a child to spend enough time unsupervised with power tools."
Joining them will be Iain Stirling, one of The Scotsman's current hottest newcomers. A stand-up, writer and TV presenter, he took up comedy in his final year as a law student at Edinburgh University.
Completing the line-up will be St Albans' own home-grown deadpan comedian Nick Helm who took his first show to the Edinburgh Festival last year.
MC will be Steve N Allen with Mike Manera welcoming the audience.
Doors open at 7pm with comedy from 8pm and the entrance is 5 online or at the door. For more information or to book tickets go to www.funnyfirstmondays.co.uk or call Mike Manera on 07954 835686.
