Friendly Fires
Members: Ed Macfarlane, Edd Gibson and Jack Savidge
Genre: Pop/Indie/Disco House with a touch of Reggae
From: The band members met at St Albans School
Musical Influences: Roger Troutman, lead singer of electro-funk band Zapp
Background: The three friends formed their first group when they were 14 and Friendly Fires were the first unsigned band to appear on Channel 4's Transmission show. The Guardian named their first single, Paris, single of the week when it was released last Christmas (08) and they count U2's Bono as a firm celebrity fan.
