AS part of a national tour, The Frank Harrison Trio are playing the Herts Jazz Club on Sunday night.
The tour is to celebrate the launch of their new album Sideways and the music takes inspiration from the classic piano trio tradition but also shows classical, Latin American and folk influences.
Frank’s most prominent partnership has been the long-term relationship with Gilad Atmon in the Orient House Ensemble but he has run a trio since 2006.
His bass player is Davide Petrocca and drummer Stephen Keogh who, together with Frank, play a set that mixes new compositions with fresh interpretations of jazz standards and folk music.
The evening at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, gets underway at 7.45pm and tickets are �11 online at www.hawthornetheatre.co.uk/whatsonstage, �13 on the door and �5 for students and under 21s.
