The all-day folk and acoustic festival returns to the Queen Elizabeth Oak Field at the Hertfordshire stately home on Sunday, July 16.

The likes of Kate Rusby, Show of Hands, Levellers and Shake the Chains will all play the main stage, with Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys due to headline the smaller Acorn stage after appearing at the recent second Kimpton Folk Festival in the county.

Organisers have announced the full Folk by the Oak 2017 stage line-ups and set times for Sunday.

As Hatfield regulars already know, Folk by the Oak always ends with a bang – with a spectacular firework finale.

And Brighton folk/punk band Levellers will bring the festival to a close this year by performing their classic Levelling the Land album.

Levelling the Land features the hit singles and festival favourites One Way, 15 Years and Far From Home, plus tracks The Game, Liberty Song, Sell Out, Another Man’s Cause, Riverflow, Boatman and the incendiary Battle of the Beanfield, all of which will be brought dramatically and spectacularly to life at Hatfield House.

Acoustic blues legend Eric Bibb is due on stage around 4.35pm, with Show of Hands returning to Folk by the Oak at 5.50pm.

Kate Rusby, the original inspiration for the festival, is on at 7.25pm for 70 minutes, before the Levellers’ closing set kicks off around 9.15pm.
