The final concert in the International Organ Festival Society’s 2013-2014 series is being given this Saturday (24) by Pierre Pincemaille.
Pierre is the titular organist of the great organ at the Cathedral of Saint Dénis, Paris, and one of France’s most celebrated virtuoso improvisers.
For this concert he will be joined by the men of St Albans Cathedral Choir in a programme of improvisation and chant.
Entrance to the concert, which starts at 5.30pm in St Albans Cathedral, is free with a retiring collection in aid of the International Organ Festival Society. After the concert the audience will have an opportunity to meet the soloist at a reception in the refectory.
Full details of the next series will be available at www.organfestival.com from July.
