A TRIO of well-known musicians will be presenting a programme of English song at next Wednesday’s lunchtime concert at St Peter’s Church in St Albans.
Entitled Sleepers Wake, it illustrates the theme of sleep and death followed by awakening to new life with songs by Finzi, Purcell, Quilter, Dowland and Sarjeant.
The singers will be Bob Niblett, tenor and Keith Dobbs, baritone, accompanied by Andrew Wells on piano.
The concert at the city centre church begins at 1pm and there is no charge but donations are invited in aid of Grove House.
