A world famous Russian cellist is teaming up with a talented pianist, composer and conductor for a special lunchtime concert at St Peter’s Church.

Anatole Liebermann, founder of the 1975 Tchaikovsky Quartet, will be goining Alissa Firsova, who made her debuts at the Wigmore Hall and the Proms in 2009 and 2010.

Their programme will include Beethoven Handel Variations Wo045; Beethoven Mozart Variations Op 66 on “Ein Mädchen oder eibchen” from the Magic Flute, and Shostakovich Sonata for cello and piano Op 40.

The free concert is on June 10 at 1pm, with a retiring collection in aid of Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
