Pianist, composer,and conductor, Alissa Firsova returns to a city centre church to give the lunchtime concert next Wednesday, June 11.
She trained at the Purcell School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music and recently debuted at Milton Court in the Barbican, London.
She will be joined by violist Daniel Palmizio, who won the top prize in the Budapest International Viola competition in 2012.
Their programme will include Dmitri Smirnov’s Pro et Contra Op.174, Paul Hindemith’s Sonata in F op 11 no 4 and Brahms’ Sonata No.2 Opus 120 No2.
The recital begins at 1pm in St Peter’s Church, St Albans, with a retiring collection in aid of Grove House.
