Themes of love, betrayal and mental illness come to the fore at the Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans this Saturday (25) in a self devised piece written and created by students of a school of acting.
Don’t Walk in my Head with Your Dirty Feet is being performed by the St Albans School of Acting from 7.30pm and includes audience participation.
Director and founder of the acting school, Phoebe Shergold-Willis, set it up when she found plenty of dance and drama/dance schools available but nothing that specifically offered drama classes.
She explained: “I want to share my knowledge of the GCSE and A-level curriculum alongside my passion for the theatre arts and the whole creative process. St Albans School of Acting has given me the platform to help teenagers become the best actors and actresses that they can be through a wide range of drama exercises ranging from Frantic Assembly-inspired physical theatre pieces to monologues and emotion memory.”
Don’t Walk in my Head with Your Dirty Feet is Phoebe’s debut production and tickets are £12 with concessions £11 and under-18s £7.50, or telephone 0333 666 3366.
