A DOMESTIC catastrophe is at the heart of Life x 3, a comedy by Yasmin Reza at the Abbey Theatre Studio from next Friday, October 16.
Henri and Sonia, a professional Parisian couple, have invited Hubert, Henri's boss, and Ines to dinner. They think they are late but actually they are early - a whole day early.
No food and a tearful off-stage child just add to the domestic disaster.
Yasmin Reza, who is the author of Art and God of Carnage, specialises in portraying the weaknesses, pretensions and savageries of the middle classes.
The play, which is both vicious and funny, is broken down into three different versions of the action which display exactly how one-upmanship and social pretension can cause mayhem.
Life x 3 runs until October 24 and tickets are available from the box office on 01727 857861.
