Directing Tom Jones for the Kimpton Players is a dream come true for Keith White.

For 30 years ago, he appeared in a production of the show, based on the novel by Henry Fielding, that was presented in both London and community theatres in Lake Worth and Anna Maria Island, Florida, and has wanted to direct it for the Kimpton Players ever since.

A fast paced comedy romp through 18th century England, Joan Macalpine’s adaptation follows the fortunes of Tom Jones, a young man “much beset by women” as he discovers the joys and hazards of love and lust.

It is being staged from next Wednesday, June 15, to Saturday, June 18, at Kimpton Village Hall and tickets are available by calling 01438 488337 or via the website.
