NEW band Devine Waters are appearing at a St Albans city centre pub on Sunday afternoon.

The band play an eclectic mix of traditional Irish music mixed with contemporary material from the two acclaimed albums of members John Devine and Pete Waters who are joined by John’s wife Caz on sax, whistles and bodhran and son Joe on banjo, guitar and bass. Pete is on vocals and guitar while John plays uileann pipes, whistles, flute, bodhran and keyboards.

They are appearing at The Boot in Market Place at 5pm as part of a small tour which culminates at the Tribal Earth Festival near Hastings on August 27.

Devine Waters recently took on a last-minute and acclaimed gig at The Portland Arms in St Albans and they will be appearing at the Maltings Arts Theatre in March.
