JAZZ club and festival favourite, Derek Nash, returns to Herts Jazz Club this Sunday night.

The multi reedsman has played as a sideman with the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion for many years. On top of that, he’s played backing sax for Eric Clapton, Sir Tom Jones, Sir Paul McCartney, The Who frontman Roger Daltrey, Fleetwood Mac founding guitarist Peter Green and 60s soul singer Eddie Floyd.

He has also led his own groups for over 30 years including Sax Appeal and has released numerous albums under his own name including Joyriding with his all-star quartet featuring David Newton, piano, Geoff Gascoyne, bass, and Sebastiaan De Krom, drums.
