TWO girls have danced their way to the final of a ballet competition which received hundreds of entrants.

Tess Corscaden, aged 12 and Remy O'Brien, aged 11, who are both taught by Nicola Bowden at her Wheathampstead Dance Academy, impressed the judges and the audience at the regional heat of the Fonteyn Nureyev Young Dancers Competition earlier this month.

They were among six finalists chosen from the Midlands and East England heat and they will now join the other finalists who have been selected from elsewhere in the country to compete for the title of Young Dancer 2008.

They will now join around 20 other winners from around the country in the final of the competition which is held biennially, at The Bloomsbury Theatre, London.
