ESTABLISHED circuit comedian James Dowdeswell is the headline act at the Funny and Funky Comedy Club at Batchwood Hall, St Albans, next Saturday, December 11.
He regularly gigs at Jongleurs, The Comedy Store and all the UK’s major comedy clubs and has toured Australia as well as performing at the Melbourne and New Zealand comedy festival.
Comedy website Chortle described him as, “a real master of the comedian’s craft”.
Opening the evening at 8pm will be Steve N Allen, best known as the former Drive Time presenter on Heart FM. A stand up in his own right, starring in the Big Value show at the Edinburgh Fringe, his material includes observations about relationships, current affairs and presenting a radio show.
The evening also features musical comedian Vikki Stone, described by The Guardian as, “good clean dirty fun”, and the host is Mike Manera. Admission is �10, which includes entry into Batchwood Night Club, and tickets are available from www.funnyandfunky.co.uk or on the door on the night.
