THREE top comedians will be marking the start of Spring time when they appear in St Albans next Thursday, April 2.

Performing at The Comedy Club at Havana in Victoria Street will be MC Matt Price, Nick Revell and Wayne Deakin.

Cornish-born but Cardiff-based Matt is officially the UK's first New Deal comedian having been on the dole for two years.

He applied for the Government's New Deal scheme to help him launch his stand-up career and was accepted. Before comedy, he had a short career in boxing and wrote a book on the subject.

Nick Revell worked prominently on the comedy circuit from 1980 to1992 and has now been back for the past decade.

His TV and radio credits as a writer include sitcoms, sketch shows and material for other comedians including Drop the Dead Donkey, Dave Allen, Not the Nine O'Clock News, Alas Smith and Jones and Jasper Carrott.

Wayne Deakin is a regular headliner at all Australian comedy venues and also travels extensively throughout the UK and Canada. He has performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival and spent a week as MC at the world-famous Laff Trax in Las Vegas.
