A NIGHT of festive hardcore jazz is promised when it is Christmas Party time at Herts Jazz Club next Sunday, December 16.

The musicians appearing are Simon Spillett, winner of the British Jazz Award for Tenor Saxophone in 2011 (tenor sax), Mark Nightingale (trombone), Tony Kofi, winner of the Best Instrumentalist at the 2008 BBC Jazz awards (saxes), Dick Pearce, alumnus of the Ronnie Scott Quintet (trumpet), Steve Melling (piano), Simon Thorpe (bass) and Herts Jazz Club’s own Clark Tracey (drums).

Clark, Herts Jazz’s artistic director, said: “This will be possibly the best Xmas jazz night in the land. Expect some unannounced headliners to drop in to add to the proceedings.”
