YOUNG soloist Jessie Ann Richardson will be joining the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra for two popular works at their concert in St Albans next Saturday, May 21.
A prize-winning cellist, Jessie Ann, will be performing with the orchestra in Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations and Faure’s Elegy – the first of which requires dazzling virtuosity and delicate Mozartian touches from the soloist while the Faure makes the most of the cello’s power to sing.
Jessie Ann is a member of Piatti String Quartet and has performed in prestigious venues in the UK and further afield as a soloist and chamber musician.
The concert, which begins at 7.30pm in St Saviour’s Church, will open with Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, a tribute to his wife Cosima on the birth of their son Siegfried, and conclude with Schubert’s tuneful Symphony No 5.
